Editorial Policy

This policy explains how Afftera prepares guides, comparisons, and other editorial content. It applies to editorial pages, not to the separate program-record publication process described on the About page.

Evidence before prose

Specific claims should be supported by the strongest available source. Official product documentation, current program terms, and direct observations are preferred. When a fact cannot be verified, it should be omitted or clearly labelled as unverified rather than filled in by inference.

Named accountability

Every new editorial article, and every legacy guide when it receives a material update, must identify a human author and show publication and material-update dates. An author page must describe the experience relevant to the work. Automated tools may assist research, drafting, or quality checks, but a named human remains accountable for the published result.

Reviews and comparisons

Afftera distinguishes direct product use from documentation-based research. A page must not imply first-hand testing when none occurred. Comparisons should state their criteria, evidence date, and meaningful limitations instead of forcing a universal winner.

Commercial independence

Compensation cannot buy a factual conclusion, ranking, or favourable review. Affiliate relationships are disclosed before the first affiliate link, and compensated links are marked for search engines. Read the full Affiliate Disclosure.

Corrections and updates

Material corrections should be made promptly and should not be hidden by changing a date alone. Publication or update dates move only after a substantive review. Time-sensitive claims, including prices and affiliate terms, should carry an evidence date and be checked again before reuse.

Publication gate

An article is eligible for publication only when its author identity, sources, canonical URL, dates, disclosure placement, structured data, internal links, and indexability have passed review. Drafts and incomplete author records must remain outside the sitemap and public article index.
